I am running for the board for a third term because it is important our school maintain its high standards. It is important for a community to have a strong school; it is good for the children and benefits all its residents.
In addition, we usually do not have to many new people put their hat in the ring to run for a board position, and challenge incumbents. It is critical the board maintain a nine-person committee, so when issues, and policies are discussed, it allows for a broader complement of differing perspectives.
I am very focused on the needs of every child. When you maintain an “all about the kids” mentality as a board member it allows a person to maintain a clearer perspective when assessing others’ opinions and polices.
This is my third term on the board, and I have learned a great deal along the way. I also came into the six years ago as a parent of two daughters attending Frelinghuysen school. In addition, I have over 30 years of business, and life experience managing a diverse workforce.
Being a small standalone district Frelinghuysen elementary School provides a more personal approach to supporting each child.
The Board, and the teaching staff at this school take pride as it relates to student achievement. Students over the years have been well prepared to move onto middle & high school levels achieving a lot of success.
