Skylands 38 Annual Juried Exhibition On View

Exhibition On View: June 11 – July 16, 2026
Location: Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council, 133 Spring Street, Newton, NJ

Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council (SCAHC) is proud to present the 38th Annual Skylands Juried Exhibition, on view from June 11 through July 16, 2026, at the Spring Street Gallery in Newton, NJ. This long-running regional exhibition showcases a diverse collection of outstanding contemporary artwork created by artists from across the Tri-State area.

Featuring works selected by this year’s jurors, the exhibition highlights a wide range of artistic styles, perspectives, and mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art. With no set theme, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience an eclectic and engaging collection that reflects the creativity and talent of today’s regional artists.

Now in its 38th year, the Skylands Juried Exhibition continues to be one of SCAHC’s signature exhibitions and a celebrated tradition within the local arts community. The exhibition provides both emerging and established artists with a platform to share their work while giving the public the opportunity to experience a broad spectrum of contemporary art in one setting.

“As SCAHC celebrates its 55th year, Skylands enters its 38th and remains a meaningful way for our community to experience and support regional artists,” said Joe Fontana, Executive Director of Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council. “Exhibitions like this strengthen our connections and affirm the important role the arts play in our community life.”
