LOCAL ELECTIONS

Know the Candidates

Chris Mulch

North Warren Regional Board of Education

Why are you running for the Board of Education for North Warren Regional High School?

I believe the most effective way to constructively impact the future of our youth is at the local level. We live in the greatest country in the world. My goal is to make a positive impact on our students who will one day lead this great nation. I think serving on the Board of Education is an effective way to accomplish that goal.

Tell us about yourself and what experience do you have that would make you a good candidate for the School Board position?

I currently serve on the North Warren Regional High School Board of Education. I am extremely motivated to see all of our children become successful and productive members of society. I have a sincere interest in the education of the youth in our community. My two children currently attend North Warren and I am a North Warren graduate. I understand the challenges our children will face and would like the opportunity to continue contributing to their ability to succeed in life. I’ve had the privilege of serving our country in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and am a proud American.

What are the three most important issues facing the school district today?

The three most important issues facing the school district today are:

  1. Selecting and hiring a new superintendent.
  2. Getting the students back to pre-covid levels, academically and socially.
  3. Managing the budget in a fiscally responsible way, taking into consideration both the students and taxpayers.

What have you done to prepare to be a Board of Education member?

I have served on the Board of Education since April 2022 when I was selected to fill a board position that was vacant due to a resignation.

What are the strengths and achievements of the North Warren Regional School District and the community it serves?

North Warren is a close-knit school that fosters patriotism and excellence. I have witnessed first hand the devotion of the staff and faculty. This school year the administration has made a renewed commitment to student accountability and success.
