Why are you running for the Board of Education?

By serving on the North Warren Regional School Board I look forward to contributing to decisions that shape the future of our school and our children’s education. I will support the superintendent and the needs of our learning community. I will advocate for resources, student opportunities ensuring an appropriate and inclusive educational experience.

What are the three most important issues facing the school district today?

1. Managing Policy
Support the implementation and oversight of appropriate and effective policy while supporting the superintendent

2. Fiscal Oversight
Review, approve, and monitor budgets Ensure compliant fiscal management

3. Managing District Policy
Vote on policies
Set Guidelines
Represent community interests.

Tell us about yourself and what experience do you have that would make you a good candidate for the School Board position?

In my professional experience, along with an outstanding support team, I developed global, national, and local educational curriculum. I also have a extensive background in compliance, fiscal management, and cultural diversity inclusion. Equipped with this background, I am well prepared and eager to contribute effectively as a valuable member of the North Warren School Board of Education.

What have you done to prepare to be a Board of Education member?

With my background as VP of International Service and Operations and Director of a Corporate University for a Fortune 500 Company, I am well prepared to serve on the North Warren Regional School board. In addition, my success in raising three accomplished children and being a loving grandparent to seven, who all live locally, emphasizes my commitment to education and the community.

What are the strengths and achievements of the School District and the community it serves?

North Warren Regional School District, ranked 208 in New Jersey, offers Advanced Placement courses with a participation rate of 28%. The minority enrollment is 15%, and 9% of students face economic challenges. As the only high school in the district, North Warren Regional is dedicated to preparing students for college, with a graduation rate of 94%. Our district ranked #5,978 nationally and prioritizes performance on the state required tests and college readiness. The proficiency rates are 40% in Mathematics, 62% in Reading and 41% in science.
