I am running for 2nd term on the Frelinghuysen Board of Education. I believe that my prior experience withthe Board, community and school involvement and personality will allow me to continue to be an asset to this Board. It is important to have diverse community members on the Board of Education to work closingly with the school administration to ensure that each child is recieving the best education while balancing the financial needs/abilities of the community.

1. School funding is the most important issue facing our district which is impacting all areas of school programs and facilities. With the decrease in financial aid, it is important to work together to find ways to make sure that loss of funding does not affect our ability to continue provide the highest quality education to the children of our district in a safe facility.

2. There is a necessity to secure staff and technology to ensure that the children of our community are receiving the highest quality education and programs to allow our children to be prepared to move on to the next level of education.

3. Safety and well-being of our students, staff and employees.

I am a resident of Frelinghuysen Township for 14 years, where my family has enjoyed the benefits of living in a small community. I have a child who is currently attending North Warren Regional High School and one attending Frelinghuysen Elementary School. In addition, my husband and I am very involved with my children's school and extracurricular activites.

My career as an attorney has afforded me the opportunity to engage with numerous other elementary schools, bringing back to our district valuable information/suggestions for how to address needed services/programs and/or funding.

I have previously sat on the Board of Education for one term. I have spoken with various Board of Education members and state representatives to discuss what it requires to be a Board of Education member. I have attended various webinars, seminars and conventions to continue my education regarding issues that effect school distrcits. Moreover, I am curently on the policy and safety committe working towards planning and developing the necessary strategies to ensure a safe environment for our children.

Frelinghuysen Township School is a high performing school that is able to provide individualized instruction to each of its students. This school has teachers and staff that support each child and family to ensure that the child is prepared for to continue their education and life skills.

Frelinghuysen Township Board of Education is a district that attempts to encourage community involvement and listen to the community members to assist in their curriculum, safety and financial decisions.
