Patricia A. Stangeland, 94, of Blairstown, passed away in Newton on May 28, 2024. Born on May 6, 1930, in West Orange to the late Francis and Lucielle Quinn.
She retired in 1994 from the Newton Memorial Hospital accounting department after 32 years. Her family came first and was her passion in life. Her hobbies included gardening, both plants and flowers, and in her spare time enjoyed Sudoku puzzles.
Patricia is predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Karl J. Stangeland. She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy Gramberg (Steven); Kathryn Andres (Ronald); Jean Van Syckle (Larry); Susan Kent (John); her son, Thomas Stangeland; eight grandchildren, Sonja, Matthew, Lisa, Jason, Carianne, Jessen, Dana and Dylan; and eight great grandchildren, Kelsey, Silas, Nora, Callan, Karly, Myla, Otis and Wilder. She is also survived by two sisters, Jeannine and Barbara. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Courtney and Erika, and a brother, Frank.
