Softball Patriots Slam Wallkill

The North Warren Softball Patriots continued their tear through northern New Jersey with a 9-3 win over Wallkill Valley April 29.

Carley Selesky pitched a complete game, striking out 13 while walking only two. Selesky gave up three hits but the North Warren defense supported her, keeping Wallkill to three runs.

The game was not an early rout. Wallkill scored two runs in the third, making the score 4-2, but that’s as close as it would get.

It was a great comeback for Selesky, said head coach Dan Delaney.

“She came back from that injury,” Delaney said. “She came out and did what she needed to do.”

Selesky helped her own cause by slamming a home run. Katelyn Galante also homered and drove in three runs to lead the game. Chelsea Forte had three hits.

The win put the Pats at 7-1 by April 19.
