Albert Dayson

Albert Dayson, 77, of Bangor, Pennsylvania, passed away at Pocono Medical Center on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Born on October 23, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Albert was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Allen) Dayson. He spent his early years in Wilkes-Barre before moving to Montville and eventually settling in Knowlton Township for 40 years. He later moved to Bangor, Pennsylvania, where he spent the last 18 years of his life.

Albert was a skilled and dedicated licensed plumber, serving at Warren County Building and Grounds for over 25 years until his retirement in 2008. While he held various jobs throughout his life, his most cherished role was that of a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law.

In his leisure time, Al enjoyed immersing himself in books, particularly westerns. He was also an enthusiastic outdoorsman, finding joy in hunting bears and deer and fishing in lakes and rivers. Al was known to play a joke or two on the people he loved. He was also a skilled handyman, always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends with their projects. Albert lived life with passion and deeply valued his relationships with his loved ones.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Dianne; daughters Tammy Green (Robert), Penny Dayson, Jennifer Polowy (Andrew III), Donna Deyoung (Gerrit) and Allison Williams (DeWitt); his 12 grandchildren Daryn, Danielle, Megan, Tyler, Derek, Joshua, Jace, Julia, Gerrit, Jr., DeWitt, Jr., Dayson and Adalyn. He is also survived by his adored brother Thomas Dayson, and his loving sisters Joyce Yetter, Nancy Read and Anita Sency, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his sisters Donna, Martha and Lillian.
