Serving his country in the Navy from 1950 to 1955, he demonstrated his commitment to duty and honor. Don is survived by his sons, Andy Thatcher (Lori) and Patrick Thatcher (Robyn); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jared, Aubrey, Aaron, Emily, Ryan, Caleb, Hanna and Rachel, along with his 19 great-grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all touched by his warmth and wisdom.

He now joins his siblings, Charles, Dorothy, John, Nancy and Shirley in eternal peace. May his legacy of love and service serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all who mourn his loss.
