Wastewater Truck Overturns on I-80 in Knowlton – Driver Airlifted

The driver of a truck carrying wastewater was airlifted to a hospital after his tractor-trailer overturned on Route I-80 in the early morning hours of March 19.

New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Troy McNair said the accident occurred near milepost 4.8 on I-80 at 12:44 a.m.

An investigation determined the driver had lost directional control of his Kenworth tractor-trailer before it overturned. The driver suffered moderate injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional information was available, McNair said.
