Dolores E. Cronk

Dolores E. Cronk, 87, of Knowlton, passed away peacefully on Monday January 22.

She was born on May 29, 1936, in Orange to the late Rudolph and Mary (Petry) Ochs. Dolores grew up in East Hanover and graduated from Madison High School in 1954. After she got married, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she lived most of her life, until she moved back to New Jersey 25 years ago. While living in Arizona, Dolores managed a Western wear store.

Dolores enjoyed crafts, sewing and baking and a love for all animals. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, teaching her nieces and nephews to play poker, hearts and pinochle. She was an avid New York Mets and Dallas Cowboys fan. Dolores was a big Bingo player and loved a good tricky tray.

Known to her friends and family as Buddie or Aunt Buddie.

Aunt Buddie is survived by her brother-in-law James R. Burnett; her nephew Harold E. Burnett; nieces Leigh Franzino (John), Lori Bernhardt (Bruce) and Jami Ochs; a great-nephew Matthew; and great-nieces Hannah, Jessie and Rachel; and a great-great nephew John. She is also survived by her beloved cat Cassie. She was predeceased by her siblings Donald G. Ochs and Judith Burnett.

A period of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday January 26, at the Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown. A private graveside service will follow.
