The Joe Cirotti Trio, consisting of Joe Cirotti, Pete Lister and Mike Alexander with special guest Tim Coyle, will be playing to a sold-out audience at Roy’s Hall, Saturday, December 9. They’ll showcase their debut record album entitled, “Joe Cirotti Trio.”

Playing as a quartet, the band features well-honed, old-time melodies and modern covers set to showcase their multi-instrumental backgrounds.

Two years in the making, the album is a heartfelt collaboration of original songs expressing their origins from the foothills of the Appalachian Ridge. It is fitting that the band’s record release show should be at Roy’s Hall because they have packed the theater many times and it is their quintessential home.

“I’ve had the most fun playing with the band and the most challenging times in my musical career,” Coyle said.

Firmly rooted in northwest New Jersey, the band is a blend of country, blue grass rendered on acoustic bass, guitar and mandolin with harmonious vocals. Knowing each other since 2015, they’ve often played together at local venues and outdoor festivals. They decided to form the ensemble and have honed it into a highly favored local string band.

Sometimes they cover rock and roll tunes from bands such as The Grateful Dead or a playful rendition of Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” and Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.”

Roy’s Hall is a renowned music venue, providing amazing sound and dazzling lighting treatments in an intimate music setting.
