Jeffrey Allen Bender, 61, of Columbia, passed away in Hackettstown on October 28th, 2023. Jeffery was born in Newton, to the late Gerald Ervin and Florence Adeline (Murray) Bender.
Jeffrey worked as a night shift supervisor at East Coast Shielding in Johnsonburg. He had many passions in life; cooking being one of his favorites and everyone called him “Chef Jeff.” Jeff was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting deer, squirrel and turkey and he also enjoyed going night fishing for eel and catfish. Music was a big part of his life and he especially loved the Beatles.
Jeff loved his cats, Miss Augie, Milo and “Other Kitty.”
He is survived by his wife Marie and his siblings Bonnie Bertholf; Gerald “Rocky” (Linda); Susan; Barbara; Robin; and Mark as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Ken Bertholf.
Jeffrey services are private and entrusted to Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown.
