Shirley A. Quick, 84, of White Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 15th, 2023.
Born in Mansfield Township on August 6th, 1938 to Harry and Minnie (Ross) Evans, she was a lifelong resident of Warren County. She graduated from Hackettstown High School, class of 1958. She then began to raise her family. As her children were grown, she went back to school and received her nurse’s aide certificate in 1977. She had been employed at North Warren Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician and had worked also at Belvidere Pharmacy before retiring in 2000.
Her pastimes included collecting Barbie dolls and Beanie Babies, as well as reading newspapers and watching Hallmark movies. Shirley was a huge Mets fan. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Buttzville.
She is survived by her husband James, Sr., married just shy of 65 years; daughter Cara; son James Quick, Jr.; her sisters, Eleanor and Betty; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Theresa Quick in 1997; her parents; two sisters, Barbara and Louis; and her brother Donald.
A period of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to -11 a.m., Wednesday, June 21st at the United Methodist Church of Buttzville, 4 Green Pond Road, Belvidere. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Johnsonburg Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Arrangements are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown.
