Lynda S. Moscatello, loving wife, mother and accomplished businesswoman, passed away on Feb. 6, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the age of 71. She was born on March 24, 1951 to Gilbert and Phyllis (Hicks) Neville. Lynda grew up in Kenilworth and spent summers and weekends at the family’s farm in Knowlton Township. She lived the last decades of her life in the house that she built with her husband Martin in Snydersville, Pennsylvania.
After graduating high school and technical school, Lynda worked in software development and eventually at AT&T and Lucent Technologies for more than 20 years before attaining an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. With this, she started her own tax accounting and business consultation firm of Pensyl Creek Financial Services. She spent a further 20 years helping private clients as well as local businesses and charities.
Her passions included golf, many crafts, her 99 Mercedes SLK and a long line of Great Danes. She will be remembered by generations of Neville and Moscatello children for the Christmas ornaments that she cross-stitched and personalized for every one of them yearly.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Martin; son Jason Vourtsis and his wife Heather; and was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Phyllis Neville; and three siblings, Gilbert (Larry), Kenneth and Patricia Neville.
Lynda will be forever missed and remembered with love, appreciation and respect for the abundant love she shared with so many. A period of visitation will be held from noon to 3 p.m., Feb. 18, 2023 at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, followed at 3 p.m. by a funeral liturgy.
