Melissa Lynn McKee, 31, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, Feb. 4. She was a cherished daughter, sister, sister-in-law, girlfriend, friend and animal Mom.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2013. After suffering a stroke, she went on to pursue a career as a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist, graduating from the School of Cardiovascular Tech at Morristown Medical Center in March 2018.
Born in Southfield, Michigan on March 28, 1991, the McKee family moved to New Jersey in 1999. She leaves behind her mother, Christine McKee; older sister, Meagan McKee; twin sister, Lindsey McKee and her wife Gina DiBartolo; and boyfriend, Damian Gallagher. She is reunited with her beloved father, Samuel McKee, who passed away in 2017.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A service will be held immediately following from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life dinner at Brook Hollow Winery, 594 State Highway 94, Columbia, beginning at 7 p.m.
