
Fall is upon us, and with that the changing of the seasons. The Fall leaves are emerging with warming colors to brighten the shorter days. Autumn beckons in a hopeful time, one that welcomes the harvest and a time for communities to come together to celebrate the hard work of its citizens during the year.
Hardwick Day 2022 truly represents this, and this Hardwick Day is a special one celebrating the community and its resilience – welcoming back a sense of normalcy that has at times been missing.
It’ll take place Rain or Shine, at the Vass Farmstead off Route 521 from 12-5 PM.
After a hiatus due to the Global Pandemic, Hardwick day will be a wonderful time to celebrate the township’s resiliency. What a beautiful way to celebrate the achievements of the many volunteers and groups that help to keep the town running and safe.
Information Tables will be made up of many of the volunteers and services that help to keep our citizens safe. Stillwater and Blairstown fire departments, Blairstown Ambulance Squad, Warren County Search and Rescue are among the emergency services present. Demonstrations and activities will be offered by these Volunteers.
There will be a great deal of fun for the kids including air brushed tattoos. There will be free kayaking offered at White Lake. with four to five single and two double kayaks available to sign out and use during the festivities.
Hardwick’s Historical Society will be on site and offering tours and historical information of the Vass Homestead. They will be also offer Walking Sticks for sale to benefit the Society.
Hardwick Seniors will have a recruitment table if anyone is interested in learning about the social activities offered for seniors. A Firewise Table will be set up to educate youth on fire safety. Paulinskill River Photography will be on site to showcase their beautiful artwork that captures the beauty and majesty of our natural environment.
Hardwick Day’s live musical entertainment in the Barn is promised to be topnotch, designed to refresh and renew the soul. Be sure to catch this very special treat and surprise local act that is sure to soothe the soul and auditory senses.
Grab a bite to eat from local Gourmet Gallery who will be catering the event. If you have not had the chance to taste the deliciousness they offer, Hardwick Day may be the time to do so.
The County’s ‘Explore Warren’ Table will be perfect for those that would like to learn more about the touristy spots of our local county, this serves as great way to facilitate that desire. Learn more about what is right in your back yard.
There will be a select offering of Hardwick classic cars, featuring local auto beauties!
Hardwick Day 2022 will be held Sunday, October 23rd, from 12 to 5 PM at the Vass Farmstead off Route 521. Parking will be available on site at Vass Farmstead as well as across in the parking lot of White Lake. This is a non-political event. It will be held rain or shine, so come smiling and prepared for a wonderful day regardless of weather.
