Mary Ann Funari

Mary Ann Funari, 83, of Stillwater, NJ, passed away at home on Thursday, August 11, 2022. She was born February 6, 1939, in Elizabeth, NJ to Francis and Frances (Ratchford) Sutter. 

Mary Ann worked at Dunkin Donuts for 20 years and was a nanny prior to retiring. She loved to cook, and her biggest passion was food. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and loved screaming “bingo” after a win. Mary Ann adored children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Stillwater Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary having served as President for many years. 

She is survived by two sons, Joseph and wife Susan Funari of Stillwater, Michael Funari of Stillwater, three daughters, Lynn and husband Bob D’Aliberti of Blairstown, Michelle and husband Mike Aton of Stillwater, Rose Funari of Columbia, NJ, grandchildren, Joseph Funari III and wife Rayna of Stillwater, Michael Aton of Hackettstown, Heather Kannon and husband Kyle of Stillwater, Nichole Aton of Stillwater, Charles Lible fiancé Alicia of Colorado, Amanda Moore and husband Collin of Columbia, great grandchildren, Joseph and Trent Funari, Stillwater, Aria and Eli Moore of Columbia, Jessica and Corrine Wilm of Stillwater, Linda Grillo of Stillwater, plus many nieces and nephews and friends. Also surviving are her sisters: Bobbi, Frances, Terry, and Patricia. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph, her youngest son, Thomas, her brothers; Albi, Eddie and Paulie and her sisters Agnes and Geraldine. 

A visitation will be held from 5-8PM on Thursday, August 18, and from 10-11AM on Friday August 19 at Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ. A service will be held from 11AM on Friday August 19, at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Stillwater Cemetery, Stillwater, NJ. 

In lieu of flowers, the Funari family set up a memorial fund to off set the funeral costs. Donations can be sent to: Rose Funari, 16 Frog Pond Rd., Columbia, NJ, 07832.
