Lauren Kaye Mount, 74, passed away on August 11, 2022, in Hope, NJ. She was born in Paterson, NJ, on January 29, 1948, to Frederick and Doris (Brown) Merkel.
Lauren was a teacher at High Bridge Middle School. She was very involved in the church, Trinity Methodist Church in Hackettstown, especially with the food pantry. She belonged to a mahjong group with her church friends. Lauren loved going to the beach, specifically Ocean City, NJ.
Lauren is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Harry, and her sons Cameron (wife Jennifer) and Colin. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren Genevieve and Adrianna, her brother Steven (wife Palma), her sister Virginia (husband Larry), and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held at Trinity Methodist Church in Hackettstown from 10-11 AM on Saturday August 20th, with a memorial service of Laurie’s life to immediately follow at 11am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, in Laurie’s honor please bring nonperishable & non-expired food items to be donated to people in need as Laurie loved helping her community.
