James Michael “Jim” Cummings, Jr., had his life cut short on July 31, 2022. Born to James and Linda (McConnell) Cummings, Sr., on March 24, 1987, in Dover, NJ, he grew up with the ability to touch many people’s lives. His smile and laugh was so contagious.
Being raised in Blairstown, New Jersey, he graduated from North Warren Regional High School in 2005. James attended and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, NY, He further pursued his education at Florida International University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV.
He loved exquisite and exotic foods , dining at world renowned restaurants and was known to be a wine connoisseur. James was very adventurous, his passion was traveling the world, having traveled to many destinations such as New York City, Hawaii, Thailand, Turkey, Greece, Bali, Germany, Mexico and Paris. He also enjoyed cooking, nature hikes, music, concerts, photography, and spending time with friends and family
James was living in the San Francisco Bay Area of California working for Comcast as a commercial telecommunications field technician.
James is survived by his loving parents James and Linda, his brother Andrew, and his cat Rambo. He is also survived by his loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

A visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Wednesday Aug 17th and from 10AM- 12 PM on Thursday August 18th at the Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation on thursday starting at 12 PM at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to Newbaker Funeral Home.
