April Benson, 52, of Columbia, NJ, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Philipsburg, NJ on July 27, 2022.
April was born on February 26, 1970, to Edward and Helen Mae (Shipps) Carpenter in Phillipsburg, NJ.
April loved her family dearly. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Todd, and their three daughters: Montana, husband Peter, Sydney, fiancé Anthony, and Sierra. She is also survived by two sisters; Vicki Sames, husband Bill, and Melissa Carpenter; and one brother, Ronald, fiancé Jill; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend Jenny Ogden. April was predeceased by her parents Edward and Helen, sister Karen, and brother Samuel.
She liked watching Nascar, especially rooting for Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed going to concerts and live music and was an avid basket collector. April truly loved her dogs Shadow, Copper, and Jack and really adored butterflies. Of all the things she enjoyed, especially her work, she gave her all. She had strong friendships with many of her co-workers.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ.
