Ronald James Mack, Sr., of Bushkill, PA, passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on May 21, 2022.
Ronald was born on February 6, 1933, Newark, NJ, the son of the late Theodore and Louise (Morris) Mack.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Marion J. (DeYong) and three sons: Douglas J wife Lisa, Rahway NJ, Ronald J., Jr. wife Connie, Brick NJ, Jeffrey T., Mt Bethel PA. Grandsons: Kevin M. his wife Amber and the late Shawn Reeves. Great Grandson: Randal Reeves and several Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Donald Bencievenni.
Ronald proudly served in the US Navy, during the Korean War, from March 1951 – March 1955 aboard The LST880 as a radio operator.
After his time in the service, he worked in a chemical plant before becoming a Truck Driver with Essex/Peridot Chemical until his retirement. While working there he competed in “Safe Driving Truck Rodeos Competitions” and one year he was the NJ State Champion and went on to compete in the National Championship.
Ronald had many interests: Golf, Bowling, Horse Racing, Dancing, and Crossword Puzzle. He also enjoyed watching many sports: Football, Baseball, Basketball and Golf.
Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends he loved. He also enjoyed spending time at his two favorite restaurants, Hunters Lodge, Delaware, NJ and Cliffdale Park Inn, Port Murray, NJ.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, from 10-12PM with a service at 12PM at Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ. Interment will follow the service at Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made, in memory of Ronald, to your favorite charity.
